About Me
I am a photographer based in Pretoria, South Africa with many years of experience. My professional photographic career began in 1987. I have worked for many South African government institutions, which I first joined in 1997. Prior to working for government I documented, amongst others, the transition to democracy in South Africa.
My work in government required me to be multi-skilled, working in a wide range of photographic genres as well as managing various multimedia campaigns. Over the years I have documented the public programmes of various South African Presidents beginning with Nelson Mandela.
My work has required me to travel to various countries. I have documented the South African rescue mission in the wake of the earthquake disaster in Pakistan, The peace process in Sudan, South Africa’s peace efforts in Sao Tome and Principe as well as various international conferences and gatherings around the world.
I have participated in various exhibitions such as an exhibition documenting Norwegian support to South Africa and the history of mining in South Africa.
I currently run my own photographic business going largely e-commerce and travel photography. I am however also available to undertake photographic work in other genres such as corporate events, travel and photo-journalism.
